Dear international students,

We would like to remind you that suspension of education means pausing your enrollment in your respective graduate program for at least one semester. It is vital for you to acknowledge that it also means revoking your student rights immediately which affects your residency in Türkiye.

Suspending your education for even only one semester results in revoke of your residence permit and you may not be able to stay in Türkiye unless you have other legal reasons to stay provided to Presidencly of Immigration Management of Republic of Türkiye on time and re-obtain your residence permit.

We hereby wanted to inform you about the process and thus we would like to underline that neither Istanbul Technical University nor Graduate School of ITU hold any legal responsibility and international students should bear the consequences in mind in order to avoid from undesired and irreversible actions.
